Beach Makeup Tutorial For Moms

Beach Makeup Tutorial For Moms

Are you the type of beach person who likes to get a tan, read a book, dip you lower half in the water, then go back and have a snack under your umbrella? Well I like that too! However, once I became a mom (which I have been most of my adult life) things changed. Playing with my children and allowing them to bury me alive in sand and having "accidental" splashes of water on my face is a norm for our family beach trips.

It's all good though. I'm grateful for these years and everyday spent with my little ladies.

So, with that being said I like to look a little put together at the beach opposed to going bare face naked. So, I figured out a simple and effective beach makeup routine. What I love about the products used is that they are very light, natural, and perfect for a summer day at the beach. To top it off, all the products are clean and free of many toxic ingredients. Of course they are mom friendly, sand, water and all!

Here is my Beach Makeup Tutorial For Moms:

CC Cream

CC cream stands for Color Correction and includes moisturizer, foundation, and sunscreen all in one!

Okay! I use the Honest Beauty CC Cream and it is one of my favorite makeup products I currently own! Not only is it great for summer days at the beach, but it is also a great product for everyday wear. It is very lightweight due to it being a tinted moisturizer. It also contains SPF for those wanting that extra sun protection, and it helps you look put together without needing so much.

The CC cream works as a primer, moisturizer, and makes you skin look super smooth. It also protects from blue light!

Put on some of the Honest Beauty CC cream with a makeup blender sponge and blend all over your face. No primer or setting powder needed!

ConceALER

The Honest Beauty Everything Cream Foundation gives you medium to full coverage and I have been using it for years! However, I also use it as a concealer and is a part of the Beach Makeup Tutorial For Moms . I purchase 1-2 tones lighter than my regular foundation and use it for under my eyes or to brighten other parts of my face like down my nose, chin, and in-between my brows. Like mentioned above about the products used today, this Everything Cream Foundation is gentle, clean, and gets the job done!

Blush

A little bit of blush will bring it all together giving you those rosy cheeks. I keep it consistent with the Honest Beauty Cream Blush in the tone Dusty Neutral Pink. I like that it gives you a dewy look, which is a great look for summer! The shade of pink is also so pretty and natural.

Brow Pencil

Gently filling in your brows with a brow pencil will add to the more natural look, so don't worry about outlining your brows. Simply fill them in throughout with gentle hair like strokes! Of course brush your brows first with the brow brush. I like to use the Honest beauty Brow Pencil/Brush.

Eye Shadow/Highlighter

Don't get me wrong, I understand eye shadow might be a little much for the beach, but with a product like the 100% Pure Naked Palette you can add a bit of the beautiful neutral tones, leaving you a natural pretty look! I currently own the Fruit Pigmented Pretty Naked Palette, but there is also the Fruit Pigmented Better Naked Palette available which also offers neutral tones and is also next on my makeup palette shopping list!

Adding a bit of a shimmery highlighter to the tip of your nose will give you that perfect sun kissed look! The 100% Pure Palette also includes a highlighter which I use as part of my Beach Makeup Tutorial For Moms! You can also add a bit to the top of your cheek bones!

Mascara

We all know the problems we can run into with mascara and water, but also don't like dealing with stubborn waterproof mascara when doing your nightly skincare routine. However, I learned a little makeup hack a long time ago that my mother in law taught me! Simply putting on regular mascara letting it dry, then adding a water proof layer of mascara over that, prevents water from melting your mascara off and also makes it easier to remove all the makeup completely at night time due to the regular mascara being the first layer on your lashes!

Of course I use the Honest Beauty Mascara and LOVE it! It is one of my favorite produces of their entire line. It contains a primer and the mascara and is perfect for everyday use. I rarely use waterproof mascara but when I do I use the Maybelline Stiletto Waterproof mascara because it's the only conventional mascara I've used for long periods of time (aka before kids). So I would recommend that one, and it's probably the only conventional makeup product I will every recommend (lol). I like to keep my beauty products clean!

That is all for the simple, natural, and dewy Beach Makeup Tutorial For Moms!
